Porn Issue

I have connected to Jabbercom and I see there is too much porn. Besides blocking user I think there should be admin option to block IP address. Is this implemented and how do you guys fight with pornt to keep the site/network "clean"?

This is the biggest issue (I don't think this is considered porn, still we would like to get rid of the phenomenon) and we are working on a solution to avoid unwanted adult content.
Meanwhile, there is the user filter, the ban buttons and yes, there is IP blocking from admin interface. At this moment there are 5500 banned IP addresses.

Could you please explain how I can ban user by IP? It should be automated process:

1) Admin is watching chats
2) If you are logged in as admin and see user who is violating terms (porn) there is icon to block his IP (similar to report abuse icon).

I think this could be very fast and effective and you could get some people helping you cleaning up the network...

Yes, this is really big problem for the reputation of chatroulette. It seems Jottle and chatroulette are solving this problem somehow. Jottle says it uses face regogniztion software, I'm not sure whether it works or not, it is always empty or no people

Chatroulette could have admins sitting there and banning IPs or like you said face recognizion, but I think it is too sophistacted for them.

If the problem is not solved, I have great domain (actually is true) MasturbateTogether.com. It is funny, but I actually have this name on DomainsHeat.com available for sale. I have checked JabberCam.com, it is great website and software, but unfortunatly it matches my domain name in most cases Maybe we could trade domain for some work you guys could do for me in exchange? OK, I did some research. It appears that Chat Roulette is automatically blocking user IP if enough people report abuse. Is this functionality (auto block IP) already in RVC? If yes what is the number of abuse reports to block IP and how to change it? I would also assume that abuse report should come from different IP sources to avoid abuse of abuse functionality...

You can hire somebody to sit in the chat and report abuse of users, in that case system would identify him as admin (admin user) and execute add to blocked IP immediately. Right now I think it is very inconvenient as you need to track IP and login to admin to report it...
