PHASE 1 - Installing the compiled CRC software to your server (CRC_Release)

You will need:

access to a web server, including FTP account credentials (FTP username, FTP password, FTP host and on some servers FTP port)
an Adobe Cirrus Developer Key to access the free services provided by Adobe ( http://www.videosoftware.pro/forum/THREA...us-API-key ) and use the Cirrus Flash Media Server (RTMFP) instead of your own RTMP (this sercive is provided for free by Adobe, check details and terms of use)

Installation:

download the latest CRC release form the videosoftware.pro download center
extract the downloaded .zip archive
*you will see four files: CRC0.1.fxp, README.txt, LICENSE.pdf and CRC_Release_0.1.zip
extract CRC_Release_0.1.zip. You will have a new folder called "CRC_Release_0.1"
upload the files from CRC_Release_0.1 folder to your server. DO NOT upload anything else, just the files found in the CRC_Release_0.1 folder!
*to upload, use any FTP client like Filezilla, Total Commander or your local file explorer (ex. Windows Explorer). An example, how to upload the files in Windows (without 3rd party FTP client): http://www.videosoftware.pro/forum/THREA...escription
after uploading the files to your server, open the /services folder, locate and edit config.php with a text editor (ex. notepad), the first part is relevant:

- $WEB_SERVICE_URL is the EXACT location of the connect.php on your server.
  The "www." prefix is IMPORTANT since the included .htaccess file will rewrite all URLs to the www format! If you don't have a domain, just an IP address or you are using a sub-domain, don't use "www" but delete the .htaccess file.
  $WEB_SERVICE_URL should look like this:
  $WEB_SERVICE_URL = 'http://www.your_domain_name.com/jabbercam/connect.php'; - when used on a domain
  $WEB_SERVICE_URL = 'http://subdomain.your_domain.com/jabbercam/connect.php'; - if used on a sub-domain
  $WEB_SERVICE_URL = 'http://www.your_domain_name.com/chat/jabbercam/connect.php'; - in case the chat is installed on your domain under the /chat folder
  http://192.168.1.1/jabbercam/connect.php -in case you have an IP address and not a domain

save config.php on your server
IMPORTANT! make sure the /services folder has full Read-Write rights! Make /services writable (0777) the /files folder will be created by the software at first run
open your CRC video chat in a browser and enjoy!

*test with two browsers or two computers if there are no other users
*Important! The attached .php files and the database are nothing more but samples, to run the web service and admin tasks used by RVC. The sample scripts are not optimized nor secure. These simple, unsecured scripts may work but it is highly recommended to replace the samples with your own solution.

PHASE 2 - Configuring the compiled CRC software on your server (CRC_Release)

The CRC Flash application is embedded into a simple HTML file (index.html), edit this file and make any changes you wish. For changing the background, modify:

On servers with low memory, the following cron job will help if apache restarts and RVCS connection fails:

I don't inderstand to which file we should direct web service url?

In above instruction, it says " $WEB_SERVICE_URL is the EXACT location of the connect.php on your server."

But under it, it says $WEB_SERVICE_URL should look like "$WEB_SERVICE_URL = 'http://www.your_domain_name.com/chat/jabbercam/functions.php';"

Which is correct to connect.php or function.php?

Hello JabberCam,

I always appreciate your kind support. I really enjoy your product, now I'm getting more familiar with the software :-).

I have a little problem with importing RVCS 02 fxp file into FB, it is giving 2 errors as attached.

One is about missing CRCc.mxml file and another I don't know what about.

Please help me find the reason, can I ignore this error and continue edit swf file ?

the first error, FB is looking for CRCc.mxml. Just copy and rename CRC.mxml to CRCc.mxml
the second error is a FB error, ignore it
